Mental Health and Substance Abuse Centers of Southern Oklahoma, located at 111 E. 12th St., has been providing services for the Ada area since the 1950s. "We provide behavioral health services, counseling - individual and group, rehab - individual and group. We have a medication clinic which is where we have a psychiatrist that comes in and provides psychotropic medication for those who need them. Our psychiatric rehabilitation program is a day program from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. This program enables individuals to learn new living and social skills," said Terry Goodwin, executive director of MHSACSO.MHSACSO is a non-profit agency that provides mental health care and chemical dependency treatment to nine counties in South Central Oklahoma. Other services include screening and assessment, emergency crisis intervention, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, case management, day treatment, children/adolescent programs, aging programs, chemical dependency treatment, consultation, education, and prevention.

B.C. boy mauled by neighbour's dogs
Like many 11-year-old boys, Alex Nightingale always loved animals, especially dogs. B.C. schoolboy Alex Nightingale says he feared for his life when he was mauled by a neighbour's dogs on Friday.(CBC) But not since the B.C. boy had his face ripped open by the next door neighbour's dogs. Alex was walking across a lawn on his way home after visiting a friend on Tuesday afternoon in the Sunshine Coast community of Halfmoon Bay when he was attacked by two dogs — described as American bulldog/German Shepherd crosses. They pulled him to the ground and starting biting, and a third dog soon joined them. Larry Nightingale says he's thankful his neighbour gave animal control the dogs who attacked his son, Alex, on Friday.(CBC) The dogs ripped open Alex's face and mauled his back.
Zimbabwe: Adopt Hospital, Farmers Challenged
Farmers in Mashonaland Central have been called to adopt Bindura Provincial Hospital. Bindura Ward 2 Councillor Theresa Mutandadzi made the call yesterday during a stakeholder meeting convened to find ways of helping the health institution. The hospital faces a critical water shortage among an array of other problems such as insufficient linen, detergents and food for patients. Cde Mutandadzi said farmers who benefited from the land reform programme had an obligation to support the health institution. "As farmers, we should organise ourselves and ensure we support the hospital. Before the land reform, this hospital was on its wheels because of commercial farmers who used to assist. .
